ABOUT PRODUCTION

I thought and thought and thought about what kind of product I would like to propose to people. to you.

In my mind it had to be something I really liked, something that represented me, something of the highest quality because there are already too many things in this world that lack quality and people started to search for fewer things, simplier things, personalized pieces of clothing, things of a better quality so they can enjoy for longer. I want the same thing.

I was thinking about a couple of things but my husband had the brightest idea: silk foulards! silk foulards with my pictures printed on, but not Any silk, THE BEST silk in the world! So we started to search for info and we had confirmation to something we already knew: that Lombardy (Italy) and principaly Como region are the kilometre zero when it comes to silk. Almost every brand and high end brand and every silk connoseur are collaborating for their silk products with some fabric or atelier in the Como area. The history of some of these fabrics and ateliers are going back tens and hundreds of years. Just imagine their tradition and their know-how and all those years of experience mixed with the technologies of the last years! to put it simplier: they are artists and the same time they are every artist’s dream!

Using hundreds of types of amazing silk created, produced, processed by these artisans, all artists can express and display their own creations. Excellence is rare but in these ateliers and fabrics excellence is normality. They create excellence for the best designers and artists to display their art on. Everyday they create excellence.

So we went to some of these ateliers and we finally found a team who stole our hearts. Because this is what most mattered to us: people who would understand and support and helped us embark into this adventure.

You don’t even imagine the amount of work behind every silk sheet, the amount of people involved started with the advisors (we love you, Cristiano and we will be forever grateful for your patience and for your precious advices!), consultants, graphic designers (thank you, dear Luana!), technicians and many many others who are involved until the end when all foulards are going in the expert hands of the seamstresses/couturiers team to be hand sewed (thank you for everything!) .

Then there are the amazing people taking care that my packaging ideas are coming to life with the exact colours and shapes and sizes and quality I want! Thank you, dear Signor Salin and Nicolò. I will be forever grateful for your patience.
